RELEASE PARTIES

What type of interaction do release parties provide that so many artists are doing them?

How to set up the experience to engage with your loyal fans?

More on the note at Andes lab first post - Release parties for artist music

SUPERSTAR EXAMPLE

ROSALIA

Rosalias worldwide release party might be a little to extreme of an example here, but it can definetly be learned from her strategy to organize and promotion.

Release parties/ listening parties are a promotion strategy for the artist new music. They serve the purpose of creating an experience other than listening to the music and creating a connection to the new release.

Rosalia's new album, Lux, is available in 13 languages and features a blend of pop, religion, and sexuality (Gio, 2025). Through the motifs of the album and visualizers, she implemented pieces of them through her event.

  • Closeness - exclusivity and invitation-only event

  • Femininity and delicacy - event interior design of drapes and minimalistic decoration

  • 13 languages - 20+ locations

  • Reflection - making the audience participate by answering a question in order to participate in the event: "What does the word LUX mean to you?"
